The cornerstone of today’s hotel was laid in February 1951 in the presence of the first mayor of Berlin under the name of Hotel Kempinski. From the first day on, our hotel won over the hearts of the people, who wanted to see their city rebuilt.
Above all else, it is our guest service that we have been renowned for since 1952 as the first Kempinski Hotel worldwide. To this day, we highly value our history and tradition.
