The Bristol Berlin is a historically significant hotel legend on Kurfürstendamm. Under the name Hotel Kempinski, it was Berlin’s first newly opened top hotel after the war. In 1952, the gates opened to the glamor of the economic miracle. Hollywood and big politics spent the night here – from John F. Kennedy to Liza Minelli and Sir Alfred Hitchcock.

The opulent and unique architecture of the hotel is the result of the perfect harmony between past and present. Located directly on Kurfürstendamm, the Bristol Berlin combines the dynamism of the capital with the tranquillity of a special retreat. Experience genuine Berlin hospitality – stylish and relaxed.

The 18-meter-long heated indoor pool was built in 1974 at the request of the famous conductor Herbert von Karajan and was the first hotel pool in Germany at the time.

The interior of the historic building was last extensively renovated in 2025. Nevertheless, historic building elements, such as the listed spiral staircase, have been retained and preserve the original character of the building. The Hotel Bristol Berlin embodies the history of the Kurfürstendamm and the traditions of the city of Berlin like no other hotel.

Since 2025, the hotel has been part of IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a leading global hotel company, and participates in the IHG One Rewards loyalty program.
